inability to send newsletter

Hi, I have a problem with the newsletter manager I would really appreciate some help with.

 

I have created a newsletter in html which is fine in the preview but is not being received when sent by newsletter manager.

 

Emails are received at the same address ok when an account is created or I send a plain text email via the send email option in admin.

 

I think it may be some kind of configuration problem but understand little of emails.

 

My store configurations settings are as follows

E-mail from campbell<root@localhost>

 

My E-mail option settings are

transport method sendmail

Linefeeds lf

Use mime HTML true

verify true

send e-mail true

 

I have tried changing every combination I can think of e.g. smpt for sendmail etc with no luck

All the images are linked to the catalog image directory on my site so I don't think the problem lies there, does it?
