Can't search my products

Hi, I can't seem to be able to search for the products on my OSC website.

The search function worked before I uploaded my products to the my site. Even if I try to search for a word that I know is in the name of the product, it still returns a no listing page.

 

Do I need to create a list of search phrases or something for each product??

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No if your product is named black socks you should be able to find it by black or socks.

Thanks for the reply. I can't search for anything really. Even if I put the entire name of the product in the search box.

One possibility I thought of...I don't have the categories set up yet, could that be throwing off the search function? I wouldn't have thought so, but I don't really know what else it could be....

Silly you, you have some catagories that came installed with oscommerce but you have deleted the products and therefore you have nothing searchable, as it searched your products............ Add something to your store and then search...................... :rolleyes:

lol. Yes I did delete the old products, but I uploaded my products in its place. I just haven't updated the category listing/assortment. I can view the products that are there via the New Products section or if I know the product number.

Well, if you have new products you did not list them under any catagorie therefore, they are not searchable because they are not listed as a product belonging to a catagorie.
