HDLLC Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Maybe I am missing something - but having trouble figuring out how to handle inventory and color choices, sizes, etc. Seems to me that I would either have to: A: allow customers to pick color as most ecommerce sites do and not account for a varied inventory of colors and sizes (one item with various colors and sizes) B: Make a different item for each color and size There's always the option that I don't understand how the system works and I'm not 'getting' it.. =^) Thanks in advance for any help! --HD
♥Vger Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Add colours as Product Attributes. But if you want to track stock based on their attributes then you need to install QT Pro (Quantity Tracking Professional). osCommerce will track the quantity of a product e.g. T Shirts, but if you have 30 T Shirts, 10 in each of 3 different colours, and you run out of 1 colour then osCommerce will still think there are items in stock - because it tracks the total quantity and not the quantity by their attributes. QT Pro allows you to track the quantity available in each attribute. Be aware - it's a major install! Vger
