Guest Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Okay, is this 2006 or what? I have been having problems getting ssl to work. I emailed my hosting company very frustrated. I said to them. "I went into cpanel, generated a key, purchased a cert with verisign, received my crt, uploaded it through cpanel". Okay done, right? ... wrong. The hosting company emailed me back saying they did not provide this service because of all the problems and maintenance with them. WHAT? this is 2006. It can't be that difficult. So, am I very far off on this, or is this really a difficult procedure? This isn't stone tablet and chisel technology is it? Okay, thanks for letting me vent. deeeeeppp breeeaaatth! Thanks. Wally
♥Vger Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 If your website has its own dedicated ip address and you installed it via cPanel then it should work. However, you do need for your site to have its own dedicated ip address - and that's what they probably don't provide. Vger
