mreiten
I have installed version 2.1 of the catalog and admin programs, and I am unable to input images when creating new products using the admin tool. I have looked at the data in the database (I haven't deleted the dummy data that is created at install) and tried to copy the format used for the dummy products. I have placed all the images in a directory colvin which is just below the images directory, just like the other image files used in the dummy data. When I attempt to create or edit a product, I put the correct path in the Products Image field, but when I hit the preview key, the image does not display on the following page, and when I return to edit the product, nothing is retained in the Products Image field. Any ideas?

Any ideas? You can't currently store the images in a seperate directory. The sample data included has the subfolder name hardcoded in the database. Guest
Is there a possibility that it could not_be_hardcoded for the next release? It's not that it's actually a problem, it's more of an EXTREME organizational thing. Especially when you have 3500 product images and you want to find 1 background image. I hope this is possible! -Joe
