Question about OsCommerce

I am looking at OsCommerce and love the features, Templating possiblity and the mutlilingual features as well. I have a question regarding the use of OsCommerce for more than just a store, however.

 

Is it possible to have OsCommerce used for a CMS (Content Management System) in addition to a store. For example on my current site, I have newsletters, articles about the items I sell (cats) - so different articles about cat breeds, articles about caring for cats, articles about cat illnesses, etc.

 

I also have a photogallery showing my cats so people can see the parents of the cats they want to buy.

 

Can OsCommerce do that or is is being bundled with another CMS system which can serve that purpose?

I found a site using OsCommerce and some sort of CMS system. Magicmushroom.org looks to have that functionality. Does anyone know how they did it or what they are using?

I use osC as a CMS on many sites. Depending on needs, contributions like the infopages manager (simplest version), article manager, newsdesk and/or FAQ desk can be used. Be sure to add a WYSIWYG editor and you are set.
