Need help learning to enter/maintain my Homepage!

This may seem like a strange question, but my store was started about a year ago with a lot of help from someone via the internet.

I was never shown how to get into my homepage to update, change and edit anything.

The store is up and running fine, and I have no problem working with my catalog and changing items there, it's just my homepage info is old, outdated and virtually unchanged for a year.

In the past this person would simply change anything I needed and despite repeated requests to teach me how to do it myself, this person would just say "it's too complicated, you really have to know alot about HTML and coding, so I'll just change it for you".

Well that got to be old and the more I asked, the more I realized he wasn't going to tell me (for some strange reason) so I depended entirely on someone else to manage my homepage.

I would like to learn how to do this myself. We have of course parted ways by now and now I have no help. Can someone show me how and what to do? My page really needs to be updated!

Your homepage is found in catalog/includes/languages/yourlanguage/index.php (and any other language you have). On this page you have the code for the images they must have put there as well as your text. That is where you can make your changes for pics and text, and the style is of course in the stylesheet.css of the catalog for changing the color and font sizes. There is good documentation under the Solutions section and some contributions under the Community section to help make major changes to the appearance.
