Is This For Me?

I'm about ready to build my first ecommerce site (what does that really mean?). I'm on a Mac. I've been on a computer since early 80's. I'm Macromedia Certified, but I'm no coder. (some ActionScript and HTML)

 

I've spooked around abit and done my research and I've ended up here.

 

Can somebody like me pull this off?

 

I'm a pit bull on figuring things out. But often need expert support.

 

I'm doing a site for bookmaker supplies. There's a couple thousand SKU's
