benbow Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Hi, I have edited the corner gifs to put my colour scheme in, in which nothing happened except both columns has gone enormously large, so i have re-uploaded the orginal corner gifs and the left hand column has gone back to normal, but the right hand column is still enormous, any help would be appreciated. :'(

But image size of corner gifs should be kept to original pixel size to avoid problems like this... Since it is only one colum that is still large try cleaning your browser cache and reloading the page, it may be a gliche in your browser and not actually your site. Also did you make any other changes to your index.php file?

tapuahk Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I am new to this, could you tell me where i need to go for the code. thanks for the quick responses. Image size is not set by code in this case... reduce the image size catalog/images/infobox/arrow_right.gif unless you hard coded into column.php which is in the includes directory Let me know if this helps... benbow Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 Hi problem sorted Thanks VVVVery much for your help . :D Hi Now that is sorted How do you change those grey boxes without this happening again as I have painted a copy of the original but it is 632bits now - tried to shrink it just cant get it small enough , and I dont want to mess up again . :'(
♥Monika in Germany Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 when redoing the grey boxes to a new color, make a backup, then open the boxes in your photo editor. Color them without changing their size, save and reupload. as your site streches to full with on my 19" monitor, I suggest you also add some centering contribution. I like fixed width with css by vger :-) Monika addicted to writing code ... can't get enough of databases either, LOL! my toolbox: Textpad - Compare and Merge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP - Photoshop - How to search the forum Interactive Media Award July 2007 ~ category E-Commerce my advice on the forum is for free, PMs where you send me work are considered consultation which I charge for ...
