Paypal adds $2.45 to total order!

When someone makes a purchase from my site and uses paypal to send payment, it adds about $2.45 to the total. I charge a flat rate of $3.50. Can anyone help with this? Do I have something wrong or is it just paypal? Thanks

I think it likely you have additional shipping added in PayPal. To see, login to paypal.com, under My Account click on Profile. Look for Shipping Calculations. Make sure you select the option at the bottom of the page, "Click here to allow transaction-based shipping values to override the profile shipping settings listed above (if profile settings are enabled)."

 

That should do the trick.
