badgerider Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 So I just want a simple table rate by weight to function as following: 5:5.00,10:10.00,15:15.00,20:20.00,25:25.00,30:30.00,35:35.00,40:40.00,45:45.00,5 0:50.00,55:55.00,60:60.00,65:65.00,70:70.00 so bascially, I want to be able to specify a shipping rate by typing in that price as the weight on each products page. for some reason, its over charging $15 on the first item, $20 if you are shipping two, $0 if you are shipping 3 different products, but 15$ if 2 are the same and a third is a different one. so if I have 3 different products, its the right price, and if I remove one from the cart, then go back to checkout shipping, it has the right shipping for those two, but if you go to one further to just one product its still overcharging $15. the $15 is definately coming from it being the third price point in the table, because if I eliminate it, it over charges $20 at first and putting 0:0.00 as the third one doesn't fix it. I'm coming to the conclusion that bascially its all screwy, and having a shipping and handling price of -15 fixes it for the first item, but the total still gets screwy beyond one item. any ideas??? the other mod I have is a pickup option with the map built in, just uploaded it to the folder, didn't edit things. -mike Quote
badgerider Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 so I wanted to check to see if reuploading the original table rate files helped, and I was using the default settings, as in a table rate of 25:8.50,50:5.50,10000:0.00 and I had one product set as 0 wieght (should charge 8.50) and a second product as 50 (should charge 5.50). when I got to check out, its charging me $11 instead of $14. I am totally confused why this seemingly simple shipping calculation isn't working. any ideas??? thanks, -mike Quote
badgerider Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 (edited) So I also just tried the zones shipping module, and that puppy is all screwed up too. it's never actually displaying the correct weight that has been typed in. instead it is displaying numbers that I can't seem to find a pattern in. for example, a weight set to 0=15, 7=21, 10=25, 90=35 it seems to have a mind of its own. Has anyone else run into the problem ever? the only other thing I can think that must be throwing off everything is that I added a table in the html script to all of my os commerce pages to contain them in a specific horizontally determind box, with black space outside of that to match the rest of the pages associated with the shop. nothing else seems to be screwed up. the cart adds everything up correctly and tax is applied correctly too. thanks for any help, -mike Edited December 2, 2006 by badgerider Quote

badgerider Posted April 27, 2007 Author Posted April 27, 2007 under the config, I too didn't notice that I had added weights for packaging, so that was screwing things all up, i set them to 0 now everything works. Quote
