FILENAME_DEFAULT is a basic definition in the includes/filenames.php file. You must have deleted that somehow. If that is all that is missing, then you can add this to that file

define('FILENAME_DEFAULT', 'index.php');

If not, you will need to grab a good copy and compare it to yours.

Help!!!

I have the same problem except that I have deleted the whole filenames.php file by stupidly saving another .php file over it - very stupid I know...

Can anyone tell me where I can find a copy of the original filenames.php?

I'm new to oscommerce and admit to finding it a tad confusing.

I had created a general back-up and presumed this backed up everything....

After realizing my mistake I reloaded my back-up, but the file has still been written over in my backup too.

How do you make a back up of your shop that is a true backup??

Thanks, I really appreciate any help anyone can give me!!!

To back the shop up, copy it directly from the server to a different directory and save this to CD. After that, delete that directory on your PC, so there will be no confusion with different versions.
