New RC Model Store - 1st Every osC Store.

Hello,

 

I am the owner of BG RC Models. Once of my hobbies to web design. I found osC through a google search and i though it would be a good start for my online store.

 

I have been working on this store for the last 2 or so weeks and improvements are always beeing made.

 

Now we have the basis i would appriciate some feedback on what i have done.

 

All work has been done by myself ( and i am not the best coder )

Hi - is your header in 2 slices? I have a broadband connection, and the second 1/2 of the header loaded so much later than the first half, I found it disconcerting. Just my opinion, but I would lose the flash on the index page - takes up too much real estate, and the viewer has to scroll down to see the merchandise. In your opening sentence, the "please bare with us" line bothered me. Isn't it "please bear with us?" Just a niggling thought. Also, i would lose the counter in the footer. Linda

Yes the Header has a background colour in the cell and the Image lives on top. This is done to create a header that has the same background colour all the way accross the screen other wise, just an image on its own will not work. Unless it can stretch or shrink dependant on the size of the browser window.

 

The flash was just added for the christmas period. Something that we still looking at.

 

The index test will be changed, thanks for noticing it.

 

Not sure how to loose the request counter but would be a good idea.

The site did take a bit long to get into. Might be a good idea to reduce the grahics sizes.
