Anybody smart enough to answer this question?

I have two div tags. One with flash and one with text. I want to put the div tag with text (z-index: 5;) on top of the one with flash (z-index: 1;). But it’s not working. The flash layer is overlapping the text layer.

I did some research on the internet and I found out that objects and applets tend to ignore z-index property.

Does anybody knows more about this problem or is there any way how to fix it?

Please help.

Thank you all very much for answers. After reading this http://www.communitymx.com/content/article.cfm?cid=E5141 I’ve decided to use wmode="opaque" but it doesn’t work again. Here is the code:

<table align="center" width="800" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" ><tr><td height="183"  valign="top" >
<div style="position:relative;">
<div id="showone" style="position:absolute;top:0px;left:0px; z-index: 5px;">
<table align="center"width="800" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" ><tr><td align="left"><img src="images/head_jmF.gif"></td></tr></table>
</div>
<div id="showtwo" style="position:absolute;top:32px;left:0px; border: 1px solid b0bec7;  z-index: 1px;">
<script type="text/javascript">
AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0','width','798','height','149','src','flash/head1','quality','high','pluginspage','http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer','movie','flash/head1' ); //end AC code
</script><noscript><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="798" height="149" id="head1" align="middle">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="movie" value="head1.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="wmode" value="opaque" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><embed src="head1.swf" quality="high" wmode="opaque" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="798" height="149" name="head1" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</object></noscript>
</div>
</div>
</td></tr></table>

Have I done anything wrong?
