windprod_doc Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 While troubleshooting some timeout issues, I noticed an error msg. on theCache Control page indicating that the cache directory did not exist, instructing me to go to the Cache page in Configuration section of Admin to correct this. However, the directory DOES exist. I experimented with deleting and recreating the directory, creating a new directory with a different name and reassigning, etc. Still the same error message. I have disabled cacheing now. However, I would like to be able to re-enable. Why can't OSC "see" this directory? Is this symptomatic of anything else?
jpweber Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 If you're on a shared server with a host, I'd just leave it off. Anyway, the OSC guide will tell you to do this: Create 3 blank files into cache folder. 1. categories_box-english.cache 2. manufacturers_box-english.cache 3. also_purchased-english.cache Repeat for each language ... upload 'em to your root/cache folder. But I'd just leave it off if you're on a shared server.
