Hi there people. I hope someone can help me out here.

 

i have a side category menu which has categories with subcategories

 

For example.

 

HATS

- baseball hats

- beach hats

- top hats

 

If someone clicks on HATS, it will expand the menu to show the sub categories which is what i want, but it will also show in the main middle part the following message..

 

"There are no products to list in this category."

 

if you click on a sub category, it will then show the products available for the sub category which is ok.

 

I would like it so that when they click on the top category HATS, that it shows the sub categories in the main window. I would also like to customize them

 

can anyone help me here?

By defaul, OSC will hide the products in a category if it has subcategories. There is only one way around this. Download, and follow the readme/install instructions to this contribution: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1014/ and this will fix your problem immediately.
