♥Vger Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 osCommerce doesn't have a template system. You can either: 1. Learn how to modify the look of osCommerce for yourself. 2. Install The Simple Template System (STS) contribution and then make a template using html. 3. Purchase a commercial template (not recommended) Vger

Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!! You did do a backup? eh?
♥Vger Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Why don't you recommend buying templates? Most of them work by providing a full set of files for osCommerce which have been modfied for the template - the problem is that they still use the version of osCommerce from before the last two updates with security patches and bug fixes. You install the latest osCommerce and end up overwriting it with an older version. Also, the coding is usually rubbish and dynamic php functions like language selection are overwritten with static html code - so you can click on another language as often as you like but it won't change from English.
