sjb47
I had trouble configuring 2.1 on my Win XP, IIS 5, PHP 4.something machine. Taking it slowly, reading the posts, I was getting close. But there was enough chatter on this forum that 2.2 was reasonably stable and that a number of people were running live sites with it that I copped out and took the easy way out. I d/l'd a snapshot of 2.2, plus the 2.2 docs at http://www.oscdox.com and used the install.php page to install it mostly seamlessly both on that XP box mentioned above and in a shared hosting environment running RedHat and Apache. Also, if you really want Apache, there are a number of Apache/PHP/MySQL builds out there which will give you everything you need to run osC (except, of course, osC  ). I haven't used any of 'em, but heard about 'em by reading these forums. Which is probably the best thing you can do. Dig through the forums and only post when you really can't find your answer and you can ask very specifc questions. Somewhat more than my two cents, sure. Thanks for listening.
