HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,

Iam in desperate need of help here. I have a live site that I need to speed up. it is really very very slow.

Iam reading through chemo's http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=119077

 

I first installed the querys_debug contribution, The page stats shows Current Parse Time: 135.880 s with 3768 queries

unbelievable ?????????

 

Already soooooo many contributions are installed and the owner has no clue as to what was done.

 

I wanted to go and add the page cache contrib, etc... Iam afraid I might break the code.

 

Is there a easy way to find out what modules are installed....... I just want a way to speed this site without breaking the code.

 

HELP. I don't have experience with oscommerce.

I am sorry that you have problems.

But this section "Tips and Tricks" is not the right place for it.

Please make your request in the general topic or

since you read through chemo's http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=119077

make the request there.

 

Please repost there.

 

Now an other tip.

There are several reason a side can be slow and a lot of things can be done to improve it.

Best would be to provide a link to your side so we can have a look.

It is always bad to make any kind of suggestion not knowing enough.

 

The side could be slow due to large pictures, lots of queries, and so on....
