need to change categories in admin to not list alphabetically...

Hey all,

 

I'm in my admin trying to add new categories. Every time I enter a new category the program always makes the list alphabetically. I want to create my own order for the list, not alphabetically.

 

How do I change this, can anyone offer some advice?

are you using 2.2? There should be a field 'Sort Order' which you can enter a number. Set lower numbers to make the categories show near the top.

 

I like to use 10 for the first category, 20 for the second, 30 for the third, etc so then in the future if you need to add some inbetween you don't need to change all of them like you would if you made them 1,2,3 etc
