Changing the default admin folder

Hi,

 

Is there an easy way to change my admin directory from catalog/admin/ to catalog/somethingelse ?

 

I've tried just renaming the admin directory but when i click anything im getting page cannot be displayed.

 

What files do i need to change to do this??

 

The reason I want to do this is to eliminate people using brute force and exploits on the admin folder.

just change the name as you done then go to the config file in your admin folder and change the location of it to show the new location

 

the re set up the PW protect on the new folder
