Localisation Help

I wish to remove USDollars and Euro from my currecncies and make all my site appear in UK Pounds firstly.

 

I have tried to do this before but all my prices went to zero no matter what I did, so I reinstalled and I'm here again.

 

I also wish to remove the language and currency selector boxes.

 

Many thanks for any guidance - newbie looking for a helpfull hand-hold.

Yeah I saw this but was a little concerned about it's age and possible verion problems. Is it the defacto UK contribution around here?

I did not have any problems with it, installed a few times already, even on live shops. If you have products ect in your shop already, create a dump and compare the 2 sql files so you know which parts you need to change

OK a few more q's then if possible...

 

1. Is it easy to install

2. How can I easily remove the Language selector on my store

3. How can I easily remove the currency selector on my store

1) yes

2) + 3) in admin osC, remove unneeded languages/currencies (box localization). In column right file, comment out the boxes

Thanks, I'll try - last time I removed other languages and set Uk as default all prices would go to zero. I will look at "column right" - I assume this is a php file or config file for that column. I'm learning, I'm learning - also of this is the case then I take it there are "column left" and "header/top" in which case I'm already looking forward to customising to my needs.

definitely check out the infobox section in the knowledgebase. And many other areas there ... I'm sure it will answer so many of your questions and it has visual elements to help you

I havent installed the Uk pack, but I have changed all my preferences and localisation to UK and now. all prices are zero! :blink:

To add, I've removed all the old products and added a new test one, and although it shows in admin with a price and everything, in the store it shows 0 (zero)?

 

Any ideas?

I had never had that happen. Did you make sure you followed the instructions? Language file changes and all?

Maybe too obvious but, did you make GBP the default currency before deleting the others? Have you made it the default now?

I have the same problem.

 

Prices are showing up in admin but not in the store. I am using UK GBR as my default currency.

 

Am sure I have checked everything and adjusted to my needs.....but is there something buried deep that i have forgotten to change or something really simple which i have simply overlooked ?

 

Please help....if not just for me, but other UK users of oscommerce :)

Scratch my last post.....I installed the UK version....Brilliant work mate. Well done on providing local customisation for UK members of oscommerce.
