Hello i am a novice in understanding oscommerce, i think boxes.php(catalog/includes/classes/boxes.php) is most important, because it directly determine Webpage appearance , but i do not understand meaning and function of red text in the above-mentioned code, who can help me ? extremely urgent! thank you so much!!!

That file is used to build the boxes in the left and right columns. The code in red is a string that the individual boxes use to build content layout. You notice further in the code it adds <tr or <td to the string and when added to the specific code for the box appears like html and builds tables etc.
