Azure Moon Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Hi, A total newbie here (new to OsCommerce, websites, php, HTML, etc. and my site was pre-built so I'm pretty much clueless), so please be kind and use laymen's terms. Is there an easy way to add sub-categories? One of the products/items I will be offering are Agate Night Lights. Since they are created by Mother Nature and therefore, each unique and also come in different colors, I thought it would be easier for my customers to be able to click on one the Agate Night Lights category, and then be able to click on a sub-category, i.e., Blue Agate Night Lights, Green Agate Night Lights, etc. and see the choices available, rather than putting all the pictures up under the one main category. I don't understand exactly how contributions work, or how to install/use them, so if someone could please provide EASY step by step instructions, I would be forever grateful. Brightest Blessings, Azure Moon
shooter-boy Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Sub-categories are handled automatically. Just click on the folder icon of the category you want to put the sub category to in admin, and click Create New Category. No need for a contribution. I'm sorry, but i cannot offer Free support via PM etc, and osCommerce forums prohibit me from putting any reference to paid support in my signauture. However viewing my profile may provide links to my website or something like that which you may find useful.
