Is there a way to change the look of the "new products" module

I want it to look more like this; with no empty space, no text, just image links. (Look for "New Arrivals")

Can it be done. Any and all help and guidance is appreciated.

Anybody....is this too hard of a question? Where do I begin to modify "new products"?
