error on cvs import phpmyadmin

I think finally figured out how to import cvs file to phpmyadmin. Web host is startlogic when I go to import my saved manufacture file(10 records) to phpmyadmin computer acts likes likes file is loading status bar moves about half way real slow than get blank screen finally after a minute get following mesaage:action canceled explorer unable to connect to the web page. Trying to get mechanics worked out on a small file since i don't want to manual type in over 1,000 entries. Thanks for directions been strugling with this for over a week.
