The error message returned is: Access denied for user 'timmy'@'xxxxxxx.westnic.net' (using password: YES) Please click on the Back button below to review your database server settings --------- any clues?
Guest Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I'm getting the same error, hosting with another company. People can access my hosted database from other locations, but I can't from mine. I assume some kind of port is blocked. I use a router, but I don't know what ports to open. This seems to be a network error? Or a port access problem? I have no virus software, and OS firewalls are off. I too could use some assistance about what causes this. Otherwise I might as well just go buy a cheap HUB that blocks no traffic. As I asked in another post, if anyone knows a list of ports used by osC, it would be possible to open them. Does anyone know where to find such a list? Thanks, Timothy
