I am a complete newcomer to OSCommerce. We have installed it and we want to do several things. If you could direct me on where to go, I woujld be very appreciative. Here are some orf the functions that we need to happen:

1 - Putting up new items by the manufacturer. He sould have access ONLY to his items and be able to insert only into his id. We do not want to give access to the complete admin. I could write an interface, but I would imagine this might already have been done. Same is true for modifications and eletions of products.

2 - Generation of purchase orders to be sent to the manufacturer.

3 - Summary reports for a manufacturer, broken down by product and/or date.

4 - An ability to retrieve the manufacturer id given some unique description of the manufacturer. The manufacturer will be entered by hand using the existing interface. I need to then retrieve the id withoud having to use the MySQL admin interace (which I can easily do, but want to be able to do this automatically and programmatically).

Thanks for any and all help and pointers.

For the first item, you will need to install the admin access contribution. For the others, I am not aware of any contributions that will handle them, although there might be. If there isn't, then the code would have to be written to do that.

Thanks, now how do I find the "admin access contribution" to download/install? I looked in the "contributions" but couldn't find the right category.
