Unable to complete order with Moneris payment module

Hey all,

I'm struggling to find a solution to my ongoing issues with my Moneris payment module. It's a hosted payment solution not unlike Paypal, in which the customer is re-directed from the store to the payment site to complete the payment and is then returned to the store when payment is either approved or declined. What's happening is that once the payment has been processed no order is created and stored for that customers purchase. What's happening now is that the payments are processed and I get notifications from my Moneris account indicating a payment has been processed but I have no idea what the customer has ordered because the order hasn't been finalized. I know from what I have been able to find on the forum on this issue is that paypal users have experienced similar behaviour and there seems to be a workaround but I haven't found anything for Moneris. In my Moneris setup I do have it set to return the customer to the url http://www.mysite.com/catalog/checkout_success.php once they have submitted payment however it just takes them back to the site saying 'Cart is Empty' and they are required to log back in, so it seems like the session is closed off by the time the redirect from Moneris occurs.

I hope this all makes sense and I would really appreciate any possible suggestions anyone may have as the site is live and it's mortifying to have to contact customers who have paid for merchandise to ask them what they have ordered.

Thanks again in advance
