Extra customer fields on checkout

Hello.

I have been searching and searching the forum + contribution lists for days. I have given up and may have to reject the customer if this post doesn't help :(

My client sells cellphones with and without subscribtions.

- When the customer buys a cellphone WITHOUT subscribtion the customer info. is just like normal in oscommerce.

- When the customer buys a cellphone WITH subscribtion the customer info. has to have extra fields (e.g. social security no.)

I guess that the product attribute system in oscommerce are a key element. Because I can make attributes that make you choose options like: Without subscribtion, With subscribtion.

I have tried to make it work in the code with no luck.

Please somebody help.

Why wouldn't this contribution work?

Customer Extra Fields

There is also the Order Editor contribution.

Look into them, as one of 'em might help.
