cmedia Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Hi, all, I have two independent installations on the same server, and I'd like customers to be able to use their same login information for both. Is this possible without having them create two identical accounts? I've thoroughly searched the forum, but I haven't been able to find such a discussion. Thank you!
natewlew Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I am not sure if this will work but you could change witch application_top.php is being called for these 2 files on the other store (create_account.php and login.php). Inside of the other application_top.php you could call your other configure.php. But the second configure.php should have the right paths for your second store. So when someone comes to your second store they will be using the same database as the first store when they log in. cmedia Posted November 30, 2006 Author Posted November 30, 2006 Thank you for the tip! I'm looking through the files now, and see where some of the changes need to be made, but I'm afraid I won't find all of them. Because I need to run the items differently and only want to change the user database, I can't just change the application_top.php file. It looks like I'll need to change configure.php and the database_tables.php page, as well as some of the other pages that are related to users. I'm playing around, but I'm being careful. Any other ideas from anyone?
