Trying to install new subdirectory.

I have installed a new subdirectory in my mainsite but am having troubles with the global registries. I have made a copy of the php.ini file from my main site (which the global registry is turned on ) and put it in the admin folder of the new subdirectory. Still having this error message though.

 

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

 

Hope someone has a quick fix for me.

add the following to your .htaccess file in your root folder

 

php_value register_globals 1
