I DON'T UNDERSTAND

I am new and don't understanding the osCommerce file/folder structure and how which files to edit for what purpose. Their are several index.php files and several footer.php.

 

I went to the knowledge base and read alot of articles.

 

Is there an "osCommerce For Dummies" tutorial?
