sykesa Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Hello this is probably a simple setting when my customers pay via PayPal the order wont show up in the admin section any ideas if you pay by COD the order show up no problem. Thanks!
♥14steve14 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Check that you are forcing your customers to return to your site from paypal, otherwise the order will not show. There are several contributions to do this, or you can go to your paypasl profile and specify a return url once the payment is made and completed. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
TechieTW Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 What should I make my return URL be? Try this: In your Paypal profile. Enable AutoReturn to the following url: 'http://www.whateveryourdomain.com/oscommerce/catalog/checkout_success.php' Of course; whateveryourdomain.com is just that (your domain) plust the path to your oscommerce installation. (the url provided is NOT to be quoted, just a reference) Don't give up. I see light ahead...!
sykesa Posted November 26, 2006 Author Posted November 26, 2006 Thanks this is what I was thinking the URL should be now I just need someone to place an order so I can test it out! Thanks!
TechieTW Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Thanks this is what I was thinking the URL should be now I just need someone to place an order so I can test it out! Thanks! You are welcome! If you want to test your store you can create a PayPal sandbox account (free) and do all the test purchases you want. Personally, I did hundreds to test different forms of payment and to debug. All you have to do is use your osCommerce admin set your paypal module to 'test' instead of 'live'. Activate your paypal sandbox account and away you go! :P Here is the link to the paypal developer site so you can set up your sandbox: https://developer.paypal.com/ Paypal offers this service free and it is quite helpful. It allows you to use your store as if it were live, but no real money is processed. I also created a special user in my store to do all the sandbox tests with. Helps sort out the test orders from the real ones. Enjoy! B) Don't give up. I see light ahead...!
