Adding Required Info on products selection

How does one make the customer choose certain options at checkout? Can this be done with the attributes?

 

For example... this site (not mine) requires the user to select certain add on "products" and information before being allowed to checkout.

We need the customer to add his/her vehicle information AND on some products he/she MUST select additional products - i.e. If the customer selects the ECM Reflashing, he/she MUST also purchase at least one key.

Try the contribution PRODUCT ATTRIBUTES-OPTION TYPE FEATURE. Sounds like this is what you are looking for.
