This should be in the access log as it seems no error is occuring with them. , osCommerce

Guest
Well, I downloaded the latest snapshot to do some testing. I have found the problem but I have NO idea how to fix it. In the live store (http://www.bird-etoys.com/catalog/default.php) the login is going through the secure server. If you attempt to login with an established user name and password the login won't go through. There are no errors. It almost appears to be stuck in a loop. I installed the latest snapshot with the sercure server and had the same problem so at least I have eliminated any mods that I did as the problem. I then re-installed the test store without using the secure server and the login functions perfectly. The test store is: http://www.bird-e-toys/cat1/catalog/default.php So, obviously there is a problem with the way OSC is connecting to or communicating with the secure server when using Nescape 7.0. Guest
If anyone is interested....I finally found the problem. It's a Netscape problem NOT OSC....YEAH!!!! When you run into problems...heres the cure...:-) Open Netscape, click on Edit, click on Preferences. A new window will open, in the menu on the left, click on the triangle beside Advanced. On the submenu click on HTTP Networking. On the right there will be two boxes in the one labeled Direct Connection Options, click Use HTTP 1.0. Click ok. Close your browser down and then restart it. You should now be able to login with SSL.

Jan0815
If anyone is interested....I finally found the problem. It's a Netscape problem NOT OSC....YEAH!!!! I am not sure if this assumption is correct. Switching back to http 1.0 is for sure not a good solution. We will have to investigate. You can't have everything. Guest
Jan, I realize that switching back to 1.0 isn't the best solution but, it cures the immediate problem of customers not being able to login...God only knows how many customers just left my site over the last ten days because of it. I have filed a complaint with NS about the problem too. Thanks for looking into it...I have been pulling my hair trying to figure it out.
