Multiple quantities w/variable values

Hi, I'm using oscommerce to enable visitors to purchase online Gift Cards from a restaurant in $1.00 increments.

 

I've added the gift card as a product and assigned a $1.00 value, which is working ok - in that customers may add the card to their shopping cart and then adjust the "value" to reflect the proper total value of the card from there. Problem is, if they click "continue" shopping to purchase an additional card, it does not add a new card, but increases the value of the first card by $1.00.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, or advice if there is an easier all around solution.

 

What I would LOVE is the ability to present a customer with an empty field (text box) where they can type in the total value of the gift card and add it to the cart with one click. Then return and buy another card if they want.
