Using a new template

Hi All,

 

Have just installed osCommerse and my site now shows the default page.

 

www.saulsaddlery.com/store

 

I then downloaded the basic template to my hard drive. I can't work out how to upload it and change the default settings using the new template.

 

I know this must sound so simple to most on forum, but any help would be VERY appreciated.

If by "basic template" you are mean the basic template system contribution, then you have to follow the instructions in the package. If it is a new shop, you can just upload all of the files and upload the database provided.

 

By the way, if it is that contribution, you would be well advised not to use it. It will cause you grief in the long run and should be avoided when possible - in my opinion.

If I dont use the basic template sytem, what do you recomend. I have also downloaded the STS4_3SP1. Would you advise I try that.
