importing cvs files

Thanks ahead of time. I new at this and thought I had a grasp on steps. Getting the following Error>invalid parameter for csv import:lines teriminated by . I wanted to add quite a few different manufatures and didn't want to do manually. Went to phpmyadmin exported manufature table couldn't bring it back got same error message. Went to tricks and tips follwed posted procedure Changed semicolon to comma-

Have you tried easypopulate and saving and exporting the file as tab delimited?

Hi save the file as csv for excel . open in notepad . save as .csv comma delimited. open and edit in excel, save as ...keep format... close ...save changes.... no... import in phpmy admin

change semicolon to comma and should have no probs,,
