not sure why that is, im having some problems with the rate not coming up correctly all the time ie; setup based on weights, i have 100:1.00,1000:3.50,10000:6.00,500000:8.00 defined. But if i order 99 products weighing 1.00 each it comes up with 3.50, whys that? Any help on setting this up appreciated here too

Having the same problem. I notice some mods use pounds and some use kilograms - this *may* explain it, but I can't find any reference to it in the files.

Or it could be to do with 'boxes' - i.e. the number of packages the order will be dispatched in. This seems to be in the code but doesn't appear at all in admin or on checkout. Curious.

Sorted it.

Look in Configuration->Shipping/Packaging in Admin and set the values for 'Tare Weight' (which I'm guessing means packaging weight) and again for the percentage increase on large packages.

I'm using the weight column as 'shipping cost' rather than a weight, so I've set both the values above to zero.

Case study:

You picked an old thread to post in!

Is your site using Baht or $

It looks like you are using grams for your weight.

The usual problem is that the tare weight that is set in admin is 3, but I do not see how that applies here.

The price that should come up is 56.18 and if you have posted the entire rates, the top price should have been 76.18

What table rate are you using, what is your url?

Please note that you should be adding table as Kgs:US$ which is expressed as 3.00:5,4.00:7, and so on. However, please note that I have observed that the osComm calculates the total weight of items added and tries to tally the weight to the table you have inserted. If for e.g. you have added five items weighing 1, 3, 5 kgs and if you have added table rate only up to 5 kgs then you will end up getting errors.
