I have done a full tar backup of the site and mySQL database via cPanel, and uploaded to the new host. I will test everything is working first, but once I am happy and redirect the domain, it will take 48 hours to propagate the domain redirection to the new host. Some visitors will be going to the old host server, and some to the new host. How do I keep the site live? Do I change the settings in configure.php so that define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost') redirects to the old host server, so that all updates go to there, and then upload the database to the new host after a few days? If this is the right strategy, I am looking around in cPanel trying to find the address of the mySQL database on my old host, how do i figure it out?
