Jack_mcs Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 What's "the system?" Have you tried sending an email using the contact us page? Have you checked the email settings in admin->configuration->E-Mail Options? bgrcmodels Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I am having problems with e-mails not being sent to AOL e-mail address. If i send an e-mail to other e-mail address, the customers and my test e-mail accounts receive the e-mails but not aol members. I was wondering if there is something wrong with my osC setup or coding as i have registeed on other osC websites with my AOL e-mail and i have been receiving e-mails from them. Any help would be good. Many Thanks Ben
the-ebook-cellar Posted November 24, 2006 Author Posted November 24, 2006 Thanks Jack - tried the script and it reports "emails sent" but still nothing being recieved - i'm more and more convinced the problem lies with my host
Guest Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Hi- Did you ever get this problem resolved? I seem to be having a similiar problem, However it was working fine, and from what I've been told we had some peoples email addresses change and the store was changed to reflect that, but now no emails are coming through. We haven't been receiving any emails from orders or from the contact us page since, but they seem to send, we just never receive them. All emails adresses are correct. Trying to figure this out.
Guest Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 well it looks like I jumped the gun, it's not oscommerce but our host, so I need to get that figured out.
cgchris99 Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I think the problem is that they are getting blocked by aol as spam. I do think they are getting sent but blocked
talen Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Just for reference, I had the same problems. Sending from the admin panel worked but not from the contact_us pages. The reason was: When sending the test emails I was putting a fake return adress in the from field... These did not get through. When using a "Real" email address they work fine (This is also why its working from Admin as it uses the store config entered email address to send out) My Verify Emails Through DNS is set to False, but this would indicate that it still gets checked before sending, possibly by ISP. Cheers ;)
upgrade Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I have a weird problem, sending mail from contact_us page not working. But emails are sent correctly when a customer creates an account, when he makes an order, when I send from admin interface. The only place where emails are not sent is contact_us.php. I try replacing with the stock osc page, no result. The email_test script posted in this thread is working perfect, I receive both emails sent. Any ideas?
Guest Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 i've had this problem alot in the past too. often times it isn't your script or your host... but the server you're on. (primarily the ip) the biggest problem i ever had was on one of godaddy's "secureserver"s. once i went onto a vps my email delivery problems ceased.
