Some servers dont let you change the permissions to 777 via FTP.

Try login into your hosting admin panel and using the File Manager to change the permissions.

I am having the same exact problem

I did change to 777 and tried to rename the configuration file on my host admin panel but still the same problem .

I am very new to all this and wanting to learn how but it has me stumped

The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

Please perform the following actions:

cd /home/aviation/public_html/shop1/osc/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

cd /home/aviation/public_html/shop1/osc/admin/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

If chmod 706 does not work, please try chmod 777.

If you are running this installation procedure under a Microsoft Windows environment, try renaming the existing configuration file so a new file can be created.

thanks for the help ( keep in mind I am a noob!) but we will figure it out
