error occured while installation

HI,

 

following error occured while installing oscommerce

 

The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

 

Please perform the following actions:

 

* cd /var/www/html/shoppingportal/osc/catalog/includes/

* touch configure.php

* chmod 706 configure.php

 

* cd /var/www/html/shoppingportal/osc/catalog/admin/includes/

* touch configure.php

* chmod 706 configure.php

 

I change permission to 777 but it still display same error
