Urgent help needed

Hi

I've been working away on my Oscommerce site, and then decided to purchase an SSL from my hosting company . They've installed it and said that its working correctly. Now I have a major problem, when I went to the secure version of the site (HTTPS) ALL the images are coming us as blank , they are just an 'X'.

Please have a look to know what I am talkin about.

this is the old one

Compare it to this! :

I need help correcting this, and I'm beginning to freak out to be honest. Alot of work went into building it, and now its all over the place.

Also when I go to the ADMIN section of my OSCOMMERCE..it still says I am not protected by AN SSL?

Any help if REALLY REALLY appreciated.

Many thanks

Aoife

Hi Aoife,

Have u set this up in your configure.php file for SSL?

No, I don't know how. Can you help?

Do you see what i am talking about though? Because when I rang my support from my hosting company he said that he saw the two sites just fine.

Looks fine to me.

Make sure you have

define('ENABLE_SSL', true);

and not

define('ENABLE_SSL', false);

in your includes/configure.php file

also make sure you set the

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.your-url.com/');

to your url with Https:// infront.

that's all you should need to do to get ssl working.

the problem is that a relative url can not start with a / on internet explorer (IE apends only http:// to that, see your resulting sourcecode)

in firefox you simply get the image url like http://yourdomain.tld//catalog... mind the double // before catalog.

on image urls the full url is not appended, so your problem lies with your /cataloge/ in includes/configure.php

change:

  define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/catalog/');

to

  define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', 'catalog/');

hope that helps

Hi all,

firstly thanks all so much for the help! I changed the includes/configure.php file. And that seems to have done the job. You've saved me from tears!!

No doubt I'll be back on here.

Sorry I couldn't respond earlier, the forum was down for a few hours last night.

Just to double check....can you double check it?
