Hello

I just installed osCommerce. When I try to access my account I get this message:

To continue shopping online, we encourage you to enable cookies on your browser.

 

For Internet Explorer browsers, please follow these instructions:

 

Click on the Tools menubar, and select Internet Options

 

Select the Security tab, and reset the security level to Medium

 

 

We have taken this measurement of security for your benefit, and apologize upfront if any inconveniences are caused.

 

Please contact the store owner if you have any questions relating to this requirement, or to continue purchasing products offline.

I do what te message tells me to but still can?t access. Just get the same message.

I use IE 7

I had the same error. I was told that emptying the field for 'https cookie domain' in your configure.php would work. Sure enough it has. but definatly BACKUP. I'm having problems with my basket now and I think it might be related. But it might not, so you might want to try emptying the 'https cookie domain' field. Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your reply.

 

I actually tryed to remove all the lines containing cookie domain. I was then expecting some major error message :) But no. Just the same as before.

 

When you say: the field for 'https cookie domain' do you mean just the part betwean the quotes? https cookie domain

Never mind :)

I set the force cookies in in the admin area to false.

That worked
