quoting system instead of purchasing

Hi all

 

Client of mine wants to set up a quoting system instead of shopping cart and would like to have it so that people can view the products and then when they add to basket they can say add notes to it requesting X amount of colours to be used ( he makes tshirt designs) and then check it out so that the quote goes to him.

 

Now i know i could set something up with normal html/php but he wants to be able to add things at any given time or maintain the stock and i figured since OSC simple enough for the average user id do it in that.

 

Anyone got any suggestions on what the best plan of attack for this would be? or has anyone else done something similar to what im seeking?

There's a module called Request for Qoute, do a search for it in the contributions section.

Thanks I did search initially for quote in the contribs, i might have missed it eye sight not as good these days lol
