Unable to determine the page link!

I have a new install.

Im using

 

openssl-0.9.6g

modssl-2.8.10-1.3.26

apache_1.3.26

php-4.23

ZendOptimizer-2.0.0

 

Everything appeared to go well. Php test page (info) is working.

I configured php.ini and tried register_globals on and off, and both ways

Im getting "Unable to determine the page link!" on the bottom left .

Nothing is showing up in the main section. Im searching through this forum and the old mailing list archive, and cant seem to figure this out.

This is because you have register_globals set to off. Make sure this is set to on.

don't forget to restart apache if you change anything in php.ini or httpd.conf

Well, this is not the problem I am having, it seems. My register_globals ARE set to ON yet I still am getting this error.

 

I am wondering what typo there was in the file you mentioned (application_top). I have not altered that file, so.....

YES! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. I also had the same problem and now it has been fixed. Funny though, I have the search engine friendly URLs set to true in another shopping cart and it is working fine. :)
