mstabrey Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I recently have had experiences where customers have registered and PAID for items (and we now have their money), yet there is absolutely no trace of them in the list of customers or orders etc. We have no idea who these poor folks are. It's very worrying, especially since you have to be registered to be able to order and then pay for items - not to mention being accused of stealing! Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Mart
Fat Brummie Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I have had the same thing with a customer of mine. He has been putting telephone orders through his web site and they have not been appearing in orders in his admin area. However, when I have put some test orders through, they have worked fine. Started happening to him yesterday, after he upgraded to Internet Explorer 7. I have been looking through posts on here and other support sites. Looks like a few people are having problems with this. One post claimed that approximately 5% of his orders were not appearing in admin, but payment provider had taken there cash. I think 5% is probably a good estimate as to how many people have upgraded to Internet Explorer!? Can someone clever fix this problem before 5% becomes 95% please?
radders Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Well if the customer has registered but his details have been lost I suggest you check your database tables and if necessary repair them.
lizzieogrady Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Well if the customer has registered but his details have been lost I suggest you check your database tables and if necessary repair them. I have just discovered this issue too, and thought it might be the customer not pressing correct buttons - but they had reference numbers which was odd, the cash came through nochex no problem. So how do you check and fix the database then.
