twdavids
Hello All: I'm developing a site for a wine merchant based on osCommerce. UPS charges a fee for securing a signature from an adult 21 years of age or older for delivery of alchoholic beverages. I need to include this fee in the shipping quote, naturally. I could just add a static amount to the handling fee, but if UPS changes it'll be wrong. I was hoping to get the fee quote from UPS in the ups shipping module. I was unable to find any documentation on UPS's site about the parameters which may be submitted in the rate quote query found in osCommerce's ups module. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! TD Bloomington, IN
sfatula
Download the UPS XML module, and use it. You'll need some type of data element to mark an item as requiring a signature. The module could then be coded to dtetect that, and, set the appropriate XML value, which in turn would give you the correct rate. Steve
